Actionable RBA Feedback 2026

'I don't know quite how to interpret that'
Moving Toward Actionable Research-Based Assessment Feedback
Research Based Assessments (RBAs) most often return numeric results. How instructors should interpret and make sense of these results and what they should subsequently do with them is not widely agreed upon. RBA developers have begun working toward new assessments that cover explicit learning goals via Evidence-Centered Design, but do not yet use a specific model for creating instructor-facing feedback. I created the Actionable Feedback Development Model to guide developers in writing clear, actionable feedback for their RBAs. I will discuss this model and what you can take from it to interpret your own RBA results for assessments which do not yet have actionable feedback.
This workshop is free of charge and offered virtually via Zoom.
