Using Assessment Data

Using Assessment Data as a Formative Tool to Improve Your Teaching

Many physics instructors collect data within their courses through assessment tools, either as a single snapshot or as pre-post- surveys (e.g., FCI, FMCE, BEMA, etc.). Systems like LASSO or PHYSPORT are often used to help analyze the learning gain or effect size. After we get those results, what do we do with them? In this workshop, we will show you a couple of ideas about what to do with those results that can actually change the way you teach in your classroom. If you have assessment data, please bring some of your assessment data (if you have it) so you can immediately get started on your own productive analysis!

This event is free of charge and held virtually via Zoom.
