Physics of the Arts
Do you want to bring the excitement that students have for ceramics, theater, music, jewelry-making to physics but have been struggling to find a way? This workshop is focused on helping teachers bring more examples of the creative arts to their conceptual or general physics courses. During this workshop participants will learn about physics lab activities that take place in different arts studios, and work collaboratively to turn their ideas into an activity. At the end of this workshop participants will have an activity outline that they can continue to work on and then try with their students.
This workshop is offered free of charge, and will be held virtually via Zoom.
Facilitator: Renee Lathrop (Dutchess Community College)
