Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite (see https://www.vieyrasoftware.net/) is a free Android and iOS mobile app developed for physics teachers and their students to gather data using sensors. Come to this free workshop to learn about more than 25 laboratory experiences you can have your students do with their smartphones, and dive deeper with one or more explorations you will do with your own smartphone using only a ruler, magnet, and other simple household items. Additionally, engage in a discussion about the risks and benefits of allowing students to use smartphones in the classroom or as homework, including evidence from studies supported by the National Science Foundation.
