Proposal Title: Building a Strong Community in Physics and Astronomy Clubs at Two-Year Colleges
Abstract Type: Poster
Abstract: There are many reasons why students choose to attend a Two-Year College (TYC)-- it may be smaller class sizes, financial benefits, or transfer agreements. How often do we see students applying for TYCs because of the student groups or clubs and the impact they make in the community? The Society of Physics Students (SPS) believes that the health and strength of physics and astronomy clubs can truly impact the trajectory of their career in the field. This presentation will provide tools and resources to build a strong community within physics and astronomy clubs at TYCs.
